| Photo Taking Tips - Get better pictures every time! |
- Natural light is the most flattering, flash can produce harsh shadows. If you must use flash keep your subject away from a wall or other background to reduce the shadow effect.

- It can be helpful to have an assistant to entertain your subject (or subjects) while you take the photographs. The other person can work on getting the subject to have interesting facial expressions. Take photos of a variety of expressions. The subject doesn't always need to smile.

- Get in close to your subject.

- Decide if the image would look best in a horizontal or a vertical orientation and take the picture in that format.
|
- Pay attention to light. An area of open shade outdoors is a safe place to take your pictures so you won't get patterns of light and shadow on the face of your subject.

- Position your subject so the background behind the subject is pleasing.
|
- Take lots of pictures to increase the probablility of getting a few excellent images.
